Door 7:30 P.M., Music 8:00 P.M. | Purchase advance tickets: $17.50

Bay Area songstress Brigitte DeMeyer makes her Freight debut, bringing along her warm and soulful alto vocals, uncompromising lyrics, and soulful Southern groove. Tonight Brigitte spotlights numbers from her critically acclaimed new CD, Something After All, a rocking blend of folk, blues, gospel, country, and soul, full of great melodies and thought-provoking words.

Born in the Midwest, Brigitte sang in gospel choirs as a child, an influence that continues to inform her music. Relocating to California as a child, she soaked up the sounds of rock and country, and sang with legendary bands like The Beat Farmers and The Soul Syndicate while growing up in San Diego. After the release of her 2001 debut, Another Thousand Miles, Brigitte gained growing attention, particularly after she won slots opening for Dan Fogelberg, Marc Cohn, and Hall & Oates. She's also one of the featured musicians on KFOG's new Local Scene 3 CD. Come check out this truly up-and-coming local artist!
