Take it to the next level! A swing, jazz, and gypsy music class for intermediate acoustic guitarists who have some experience playing in these styles, with a combination of lecture and practical guitar playing woven into every lesson. In addition to the practical lesson and practice, each week will be devoted to different subjects such as "Rhythm Guitar," "The Art of the Waltz", "Django Reinhardt and His Musical Legacy", "The Great American Songbook", and "The Art of Improvisation". (Minimum class size 5 students)

*Students should bring their acoustic guitars to every class.

George Cole has been an educator, performer, composer, producier, and session musician for over 20 years. George was guitar instructor and mentor to Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt of Green Day for ten years. He's toured with Joe Walsh of the Eagles, recorded with producer Roy Thomas Baker (Queen and Paul McCartney). George was lead guitarist for Big Blue Hearts (Geffen/Interscope Records) and Beatnik Beatch (Atlantic Records) who performed with Ringo Starr and many others. He recorded on Chris Isaak's platinum selling Forever Blue Album and Lee Seung Hwan's multi-million selling Korean pop smash. He has performed with Warren Zevon and David Johannsen of the New York Dolls. George has performed on Grammy nominated releases and won a California Music Award for Best New Major Label Artist. He recently performed a sold out performance at Carnegie Hall and performed at a GRAMMY'S artist showcase. He is also the current guitarist for the legendary Keely Smith. He has played guitar on hundreds of records and commercials and produced albums for both local and national acts at his east bay recording studio. He is the guitarist, vocalist and composer for internationally acclaimed touring act "George Cole and Vive Le Jazz".
