Time for another dose from the doctor, Dr. K, that is, who presents another great night of music from up-and-coming Bay Area bands, this time with a distinct bluegrass flavor.

A native Tennessean, award-winning recording artist and critically acclaimed bluegrass powerhouse vocalist, Susie Glaze, grew up in the shadow of the Grand Ole Opry. After relocating to Southern California, Susie started to make a name for herself in the California bluegrass scene, playing in bands and solo, and in performances showcasing the songs of Jean Ritchie. In 2003, The Hilonesome Band was formed by Susie and her husband, mandolinist Steve Rankin, to perform the work of songwriter Rob Carlson.

A premier bluegrass band from Marin County, the quintet known as Wild Blue mixes bluegrass classics and originals with folk and country songs, providing an entertaining show for audiences of all ages. The band features Kentucky-born banjo player Dr. Elmo (famed for the holiday hit "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer"), guitarist John Pierson, fiddler Kenny Blacklock, mandolinist Dana Rath, and bassman Larry Carlin.

The Tuttles with special guest AJ Lee are a "mostly kids" bluegrass and old time band based in Palo Alto. The band features two of the finest young singers in the country—Molly Tuttle (15) and AJ Lee (11)—plus the high-speed picking of Molly and her brothers, Sullivan and Michael.
