Freight favorites Robin Flower and Libby McLaren wed exquisite Irish poetry with their modern "Celtic americana" style in an evening of exhilarating instrumentals, tight vocal harmonies, creative energy, and loads of fun. Robin's agile fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, and Libby's high-energy grooves on piano and accordion (and great vocals from both of them) are backed tonight by a red-hot band featuring bassist Jan Martinelli and percussionist Peter Maund. Guest artists include The T Sisters, Barbara Higbie and others.

There aren't many people who can claim to have gone from cutting their musical teeth while working on a fishing boat, to performing on national television as part of a taxi-driver's musical collective, to playing for one of the top Cuban bands of their era.
