Christmas Jug BandThe Christmas Jug Band brings together an all-star crew of clever and crafty Bay Area musicians for a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the season to be jolly! They have a new album, Jugology, featuring old favorites from their classic Christmas albums of yore, Mistletoe Jam, Tree-Side Hoot, Rhythm on the Roof, Uncorked, and On the Holiday Highway.

Pasatono OrquestraThe Pasatono Orquesta, recently featured on NPR’s First Listen and PRI’s The World, is a large ensemble of multi-taskers – musicians and academics, ethnomusicologists and entertainers – with an abiding interest in the native folk music of the Mixtec community of central Mexico.

Red Hot ChachkasSan Francisco’s Red Hot Chachkas create new American klezmer from old world roots with their original compositions, audacious arrangements, and ingenious improvisations. Classical violinist Julie Egger leads the group, Barbara Speed plays clarinet, Diana Strong plays accordion, Tony Phillips plays mandolin, Breck Deibel plays bass, and Aharon “Wheels” Bolsta plays drums.

Start a new tradition with a holiday celebration that is always a festive, heartwarming extravaganza.

The vocal ensembles of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus return to the Freight stage to present "Dancers, Prancers & Vixens!" The show features traditional favorites alongside brand-new works, all with traditional SFGMC flair. You'll hear "Ave Maria," and "Silent Night," and "Auld Lang Syne," but there's also Tom Lehrer's "Chanukah in Santa Monica," a take on Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas," an ode to ugly holiday sweaters, and more.
