Start a new tradition with a holiday celebration that is always a festive, heartwarming extravaganza.

The vocal ensembles of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus return to the Freight stage to present "Dancers, Prancers & Vixens!" The show features traditional favorites alongside brand-new works, all with traditional SFGMC flair. You'll hear "Ave Maria," and "Silent Night," and "Auld Lang Syne," but there's also Tom Lehrer's "Chanukah in Santa Monica," a take on Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas," an ode to ugly holiday sweaters, and more.

José-Luis Orozco dedicates himself to what he truly enjoys—singing for children. He is a children’s author, performer, and songwriter known for his song “De Colores.” José-Luis has recorded 13 volumes of Lírica Infantil, Latin American Children’s Music, and written three award-winning books each accompanied by a CD that presents a bilingual collection of songs, rhymes, tongue twisters, lullabies, games and holiday celebrations gathered from Spanish-speaking countries.

She also flat out entertains – engaging her audience and turning her performance into an intimate conversation. Yes, she does most of the talking and most of the singing, but she’s also listening – there’s a back and forth element to a Vienna Teng performance that makes the audience feel involved and connected.

Carol DenneyCarol is a Berkeley institution. The city's Commission on the Status of Women honored her for civil liberties activism in 2003, and the city honored her again in 2004 for homeless advocacy. She founded “Fiddlers for Peace” and serves as curator of the "Deep Poetry Project" and editor of the Pepper Spray Times. Jack Hirschman, former poet laureate of San Francisco, nominated her to the Revolutionary Poets' Brigade in 2010. Her songwriting is stellar. Her singing is strong.

The Northern California Bluegrass Society (NCBS) has twice named them Best Bluegrass Band, and named Molly Tuttle the Best Guitarist, Michael Tuttle the Best Mandolin Player, and Jack Tuttle the Best Fiddler. Melissa PhillipsEast Bay singer-songwriter Melissa Phillips released her debut album, Fits and Starts, in 2012, and KFOG selected her song “Centralia” for its Local Scene #10 compilation. Her stellar band The Sincerelys includes Kevin White on bass, Vicente Rodriguez on drums, and James DePrato on guitar and backing vocals. Frank FairfieldFrank Fairfield is a young man and old time folk musician from the San Joaquin Valley who plays fiddle, guitar, and banjo while singing and hollering.
