The Berkeley High School jazz program is one of the finest in the country, known nationally and internationally as an incubator of outstanding talent and a citadel of swing.  This performance will be featuring the Two O'Clock Band and the Four O'Clock Band. Some of the world’s great jazz artists have come through Berkeley High, from Joshua Redman to Charlie Hunter, Dave Ellis to Peter Apfelbaum. Tonight is a chance to see the next generation of rising stars shine at the Freight!

Gaelic Supergroup and un-challenged champions of straight-in-the-eye Highland music, Dàimh, are based around West Lochaber and the Isle of Skye.


Formed around the turn of the century and taking the name from the Gaelic word for "kinship" Daimh (pronounced Dive) have taken their contemporary take of Highland and Gaelic music to over 20 countries, setting audiences alight from Moscow to San Francisco.

The Foghorn Stringband is the present day shining gold standard for American string band music, with eight albums, thousands of shows, over a decade of touring under their belts, and an entirely new generation of old-time musicians following their lead. Through all this, they’ve never let the music grow cold; instead they’ve been steadily proving that American roots music is a never-ending well of inspiration.
