Rejoice, fans of intoxicatingly eclectic, cross-pollinated, high-energy Gypsy music with a rockabilly attitude! Fishtank Ensemble is back with not one but two explosive violins, the world's best slap bass player, musical saw, flamenco and Gypsy jazz guitar, opera and Gypsy vocals, and one little banjolele. The LA Weekly calls the group "one of the most thrilling young acts on the planet."

Formed in 2005, the West Coast-based band tackles everything from French hot jazz to wild Serbian and Transylvanian Gypsy anthems, flamenco, and oddball originals, all held together by the stunning virtuosity and breakneck tempos of French Gypsy violinist Fabrice Martinez, Ursula Knudson (vocals, violin, musical saw), Doug Smolens (guitar), and Djordje Stijepovic (bass). Fishtank Ensemble's latest album is Woman in Sin.
