Mark Graham started playing the harmonica in high school and is now a noted performer, recording artist, and instructor. He has performed or recorded dozens of albums as a soloist and with bluegrass stars Tim O'Brien and Laurie Lewis, Irish fiddler Kevin Burke, and jazz guitar great Bill Frisell, and as one of The Kings of Mongrel Folk with Orville Johnson. He is a master of American old-time, blues, Cajun, and other regional styles, and he is equally adept at traditional Irish music on both the diatonic and chromatic harmonicas. As a teacher, Mark locates his students' personal interests and abilities, uses classic recordings and tunes, and works to help them develop solid technique and wide-ranging knowledge. His goal is to have the student know the fun, excitement, and sense of accomplishment of being a good musician and harp player.
