For kids with 2 years of basic playing ability on their instrument, this class will introduce the roots of playing in ensemble through learning some of their favorite songs. This class is a good introduction to band dynamics and listening skills while learning the elements of a good working band. At the end of the class students will perform a show based on a set list of originals and cover tunes developed during class.

*Auditions by appointment will take place at the Freight prior to the first day of the class.

Bay Area singer/songwriter Seth Affoumado currently has a kids band class at The Blue Bear School of Music in San Francisco. He is the founding member of bands Lovitt/Page, The Jakes, and PLAYDATE. Seth is a multi-talented musician who plays drums, piano, organ, guitar, and bass. His most recent project was with Rich Hoeg and David Fleminger, adding drums and vocals to a Bluegrass EP recorded at Decibel Studios in San Francisco.
