Jazzschool Institute Student PerformancesThe Jazzschool is proud to present two top student ensembles in this special end-of-the year performance at the Freight & Salvage.

The Jazzschool Institute Advanced Jazz Workshop

Saxophonist and composer Michael Zilber directs the Advanced Jazz Workshop, a College-level student ensemble (part of the Jazzschool Institute degree program), performing classics of the jazz repertoire and original works. Featuring Colin Di Grazia, sax; Patrick Malabuyo, trombone; Sturdy Adams, piano; Andrew Lion, bass; and Nicholas de Ryss, drums.

The Advanced High School Jazz Workshop I

Also directed by Michael Zilber, this High School group is a multiple DownBeat Award-winning group comprised of rising star performers from around the Bay Area. Jazzschool InstituteThe Jazzschool Institute offers a conservatory program devoted to the study and performance of jazz and related styles of music, fostering the artistic development of aspiring professional jazz musicians and building new audiences to sustain and promote the jazz art form. The institute integrates a comprehensive, progressive undergraduate education program taught by world-class musicians and music educators, preparing the next generation for a fulfilling life in the dynamic world of the performing arts.
