Jazzschool Institute Student PerformancesSaxophonist and composer Michael Zilber directs the Advanced Jazz Workshop, a top student ensemble performing classics of the jazz repertoire and original works. Featuring Madison Bohrer on tenor sax, Christopher Sullivan on tenor sax, Henry Moser on guitar, Danny Mertens on piano and trumpet, Sturdy Adams on piano, Scott Thompson on bass, and Dillon Vado on drums.

The evening begins with a performance by the hard-swinging Jazz Repertoire Ensemble I, tackling classics of the repertoire. This ensemble, directed by saxophonist Dann Zinn, features Colin Di Grazia, sax; Christian Sullivan, piano; Lu Salcedo, guitar; Andrew Lion, bass; and Marshall Williams, drums.

 


Jazzschool InstituteThe Jazzschool Institute offers a conservatory program devoted to the study and performance of jazz and related styles of music, fostering the artistic development of aspiring professional jazz musicians and building new audiences to sustain and promote the jazz art form.
