This very special concert, with proceeds helping to provide food and solar ovens for victims of the Haiti earthquake, features a host of special musical guests including Juy Fjell, the Organic Women's Chorus, Fran Avni, Candy Forest, Asheba, Claudia Morrow, Bonnie Lockhart, and Nancy Ibsen. The evening features original songs by Nancy and her many collaborators, as well as a few by her mother, Malvina Reynolds. Nancy will also tell family stories and Haitian folktales.

Nancy Schimmel has toured nationally as a singer and storyteller, and is well known in the Bay Area. Brought up in a household full of music and stories, Nancy has been sharing them with the world ever since, as well as adding many of her own inspired originals. With Nancy's verve, wit, social insight, and great songs—not to mention her talent for eliciting audience participation—expect a rousing performance!

A veteran of the folk and women's music scenes, Judy Fjell has sung for San Francisco peace marches, NOW conferences, Montana Cowboy Poetry Gatherings, GLBT Pride in Boise, and New York City coffeehouses.
