Polyphonia Youth Choir w/ Juliana Graffagna & Lily Storm

Juliana Graffagna, longtime vocalist and former Music Director of Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble, has been studying and performing music from Eastern Europe since 1988. She has trained with renowned vocalists Tatiana Sarbinska, Tzvetanka Varimezova, Kremena Stancheva, Donka Koleva, Merita Halili, Christos Govetas and Mariana Sadovska, and has traveled to Bulgaria and Ukraine. Juliana has taught Eastern European singing classes at The Jazz School, the Arcata Folk Music Festival, Balkanalia! and Kolo Dance Festival. Juliana is the founder of Black Olive Babes, an exciting local ensemble that plays an eclectic mix of traditional and original music in the Southern Balkan, Middle Eastern, Sephardic and Appalachian traditions.
