Start a new tradition with a holiday celebration that is always a festive, heartwarming extravaganza.

The vocal ensembles of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus return to the Freight stage to present "Dancers, Prancers & Vixens!" The show features traditional favorites alongside brand-new works, all with traditional SFGMC flair. You'll hear "Ave Maria," and "Silent Night," and "Auld Lang Syne," but there's also Tom Lehrer's "Chanukah in Santa Monica," a take on Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas," an ode to ugly holiday sweaters, and more.

From its first performance in 1978 at a candlelight vigil on the steps of San Francisco’s City Hall in the aftermath of the assassinations of George Moscone and Harvey Milk, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus has promoted human rights, community activism, empowerment and inclusiveness, and beautiful choral music. The chorus continues to rally and inspire LGBT and other community and arts-based organizations around the world. In recent years, under the leadership of artistic director and conductor Dr. Timothy Seelig, the chorus has raised its musical game, increased its touring and recording profile, and heightened its impact in the community while maintaining its signature blend of humor, personality, and high-voltage performances.

The Oakland East Bay Gay Men’s Chorus is a 50-voice gay men’s chorus that performs a wide variety of music, from classical to Broadway, in three seasonal and numerous church, community, and outreach performances every year.  Founded in 1999 by Dick Kramer, the OEBGMC is the most active and well known gay arts organization in the East Bay. Centrally located in Oakland, the chorus serves many communities, with members coming from all around the Bay Area.
