Diana StorkDiana RowanTake a musical world journey for a good cause—no passports required. Treat your ears to the elegant harp melodies, ambient African Kora, and traditional Hindustani rajas.

Daniel BerkmanDiana Stork and Diana Rowan will begin the set with enchanting harp duets. A leading light in the international harp world for over two decades, Ms. Stork's eclectic style incorporates ethnic, classical and contemporary traditions. Ms. Rowan's music of unusual power and beauty is featured on many soundtracks for TV and film. A San Francisco based composer, multiinstrumentalist, and innovator of the kora (a 21-stringed harp/lute from West Africa), Daniel Berkman paints a soundscape of traditional West African songs with crafty and poignant kora pieces. Teed Rockwell, Peter van Gelde, and Michael Lewis will conclude the evening with a melodic trio of classical Hindustani music. Teed is the only person in the world to play Indian music on the touchstyle veena. Peter, was one of the first American sitar disciples of India's great Maestro Ali Akbar Khan. Michael is one of the finest American tabla players today and a disciple of the late Ustad Allah Rakha, and long time student of Ustad Zakir Hussain. Michael on tabla has accompanied many eminent artists, including Ustad Zakir Hussain, Krishna Bhatt, Terry Riley, George Brooks, and the Bansuri flautist, Depak Ram.
